Tristan and Clare first met at eighteen years old, in that golden, fleeting summer before college. From the very beginning, Tristan was smitten. They laugh reminiscing that he even took a summer job in her neighborhood, just to have the chance for extra moments together.
On a warm Fourth of July night in 2015, on an Indiana lake beneath a sky of shimmering fireworks, Clare said “yes” to their very first date.
Eight years later, fate brought them beneath another shimmering sky, this time in Lake Como, Italy. With fireworks dancing over the water just as they had on the night it all began, Tristan asked again, and Clare said “yes” to forever.

And the rest is history. . .
Clare and Tristan now call Louisville home, where they’ve built a life filled with simple joys and shared adventures.
You’ll often find them tending to a bubbling batch of sourdough, strolling hand-in-hand through Cherokee Park, or sipping a warm mug of coffee over a competitive game of Scrabble.
